Afterthehullabalooandexcitementof theparty,it wasnowtimeto departfrom my friend’shouse.Hitherto,everything hadbeenallright.ItwasHalloween party,andthisonewasa lotof funbecauseI hadthecompanyof one of my lostfriend,Nelly. To be honest,thepartyseemedto be veryrefreshingafter a weekof massivepreparation.Unlike otherHalloween parties,thisone lackedtheessentialingredientthat madesuchnightsdaunting. Itdidnot feellike Halloween. In factlookingbackat themanyepicsmy grandmotherusedto narrateto me about theparty,thisonelackedthegistandgustothat makesa Halloween partycomplete.

Afterfour hoursof excitement,thoughlackinginthingsthat I hadfathomedabout a Halloween night,itwasthemomentin timeforme to strollbackto our homeandall by myself.Justlike manyHalloween night,darknessseemedto pervadetheglobeas iffora purpose.Itwasominous,silentandduskyquitean uncomfortableenvironmentforme. AsI drewnear theparking space,doublingmy walkingspeed,Istartedto feela bitterrified. Icould not seeorhearanything butmy footstepsandtheonebehind me. Ohyes,thepersonbehind me (apparentlywhich wasmy footsteps),I lookedsidewaysandback,andsawnoone,anda redoubledmy walkingspeedevenfurther,thistimewalkingbackwards.Akeener lookon thefrontward my eyescaughtup with a tallmangazingat me. I jerkedinto super speedtowards my friend’shouse,onlyto findeveryone hadleft.I jumpedoutsideas fastI could, trembling,onlyto realizeNelly wasthetallmanwearinga demonicstuffedanimalowlface.
