Individual characteristics involve age, gender, level of education,work experience, religion, nationality and moral growth (James,2014). Individuals that are more educated seem to make betterdecisions ethically. There are no disparities amid men and women inmaking ethical decisions. However, when disparities are apparent,women seem to make better decisions compared to men. Persons thatreason at a greater phase of moral growth seem to be better in makingdecisions. Work experience influences the ethical decisions personsmake. The level of effort a worker puts at their place of employmentis an ethical matter. Failure to work hard burdens other workers,which is unfair. However, not all individuals depict ethicalsensitivity because of the differing work experience levels. Thesensitivities are necessary as they influence conduct as well aslives of different persons. Individuals are not probable to actethically unless when they suppose an ethical issue is at risk. Inreference to religion, those that are more religious make betterdecisions.

Planned behavior is a theory, which states that people makedecisions to act ethically. However, it depends on their personalattitudes to the conduct, rules and anticipated behavior control. Anillustration is at work where personnel will act ethically when theanticipated conduct aligns with their individual beliefs. This theorycompares to utilitarianism, which is an ethical theory. Utilitarian’sendeavor to engage in actions that result in a positive outcome forall parties included in the behavior (Kortenkamp&amp Moore, 2014). Thus, individuals are more likely tobehave ethically when the behaviors align with their attitudes.Ajzenas’ theory differs from cultural relativism. In culturalrelativism, an action ought to relate to set ethical rules, while inplanned behavior the action relates to personal viewpoints (Hellsten,2015).
