Rightfrom high school I have set for myself high standards, that is,anything to do with personal goals, academic goals I have always beenmotivated to perform and be above the rest, and these has given me aprofessional desire to be in the management, especially in the healthsector. Right from the time I graduated high school, I have atvarious hospitals and homes as a volunteer where I have be gainedsome experience at the management and casual levels. At the differenthealth centers I have volunteered, I have overseen the day to daymanagement of the organization, having been a signed specific unitsor a service area, as such implementing new policies and directives.Considering the high level of interest I have in establishing acareer in management especially in the health sector, I have a hugedesire to peruse a degree Bachelorsin Business Management that would hopefully help me realize mymanagement dreams.

Goalsand Context

Mygoals are to pursue a course that makes business sense and enhancesmy management skills. As such, perusing Bachelors in BusinessManagement, am hoping to attain a wide range of introduction to allaspects of a business, developing my knowledge and skills indifferent fields right from performance management to attaining ofoperational ethics. Through the course, my goals are to build mystrategic skills, allowing me to have the potential to spot andexploit business opportunities to a maximum potential. Therefore, mygoals are to combine everything I learn and apply it to differentbusiness simulations, such identification of target markets,advertising, and coming up with sound business plans. The practicalapplication of knowledge under this degree course sets it apart as itprepares an individual for a successful management career.

Inaddition to technical expertise, competence in several areas are tobe developed especially considering the rapid environmental changesin tasks associated with management and organizing information thathas made the process more complex than it was before. As such I haveto sharpen skills to be in a position to liaise with teams fromdifferent departments in the health sector such the staff andclinical management department of a health organization. This willcome in hand in gathering and analyzing data that can be used in theplanning process and in the management of projects and systems.

They will be in a position to coordinate people fromdifferent fields and departments in their organizations and thoseoutside their organizations most in senior levels from suchorganizations as social services. They will gather and analyze dataand use it to plan and manage projects and system of their healthcare organizations. They have the capacities to attend meeting andwrite follow up reports, plan and implement services towards improvedservice delivery. They are equipped with skills to set budgets andmaintain finances under tight budgets. They will purchase equipmentsand supplies, use computers to manage information and financial data,analyzing and measuring performance. The last but not least, theyhave the skill and to support ICT systems and planning new provisionand development, which will be for major projects sometimes (Friga,Bettis and Sullivan, 2003).
