Question one

The leadership style adopted by a leader in an organization has ahuge influence on the people working under him or her as well asother workers in the organization. This is because leadership stylesadopted by business leaders have a direct causes and effectsrelationship on the team. Thus, the factors that motivate the leaderto adopt a particular leadership style have an influence on theemployees, especially his immediate followers. A leader can bemotivated by the organizations objectives and strategies to adopt asituational leadership style. Successful leaders will always try toinfluence their followers to fit in their leadership styles in orderto leap the maximum benefits for the workers (Northouse, 2013). Thesuccess of a leader is based on his ability to use his powers toinfluence his followers to work towards a particular goal. Forexample, a situational leader may be motivated by the competence ofhis staff. Obviously, this has a huge impact on he relates with hisfollowers (Fernandez &amp Vecchio, 2007).

Question two

In an attempt to describe the wide range of leadership styles inorganizations, one of the theories that have been adopted is the taskverses relationship leadership. There is a very huge differentbetween leaders who are concerned about the task and leaders who areconcerned about relationships. Task oriented leaders focus on thespecific task given to an employee and the accomplishment of thetask. The performance of the subordinate is rated depending on thetasks completed using the developed criteria and procedures. On theother hand, relationship oriented leaders are more concerned with howpeople interact in the work environment. They always have time totalk and develop social relations with their subordinate. This isbased on the understanding that human relations have an influence onemployee’s productivity (Northouse, 2013).
