Thestudentwritesabout thesignificanceof a largenumberof peopleenrollingin theinsuranceprograms.Thiscorrectbecausea largenumberof enrollees increasethesizeof thepoolof insurancefundsavailableto covertheinsuredpersons. However, thebenefitsderivedfroman increaseinenrollmentdepend on thehealthstatusof enrollees. Foraninstant,an increasein thenumberof clients enrollingwithlong-term healthcareneedsandcriticalillnesseswill limittheefficiencyof theinsuranceprogram.

Thestudentsupportstheideaof purchasinga healthinsuranceprogram, which is correctbecauseillnessis one of theunpredictablerisks. In addition, thestudentidentifiesthekeyelementsof an effectiveinsurancecompany, which includewidespreadcoverage, trustworthiness, lifetimepayout, andacceptablelimits. However, theseelementsdonot givetheguarantee of gettinga suitableinsurancecompany.Thereis a widerangeof factorsthat should be considered, includingruleson thecoverfordependents, therangeof medicalneedscoveredby thecompany, eligibilityof insuredmembersforrestrictedfunds, andrulesof adultcoverage (GMHBA Health Insurance, 2014).

Additionally, thestudentsupportsthegovernmentsponsored insuranceprogramsby statingthattheyassistthepoorandthelow-incomemembersof thesociety.Thisis a wrongideabecausethetargetpopulationmay not be ableto paytheir premiumsandthegovernmentsponsored programswill eventuallycollapseifthegovernmentfailsto encouragethewell-up embers of thesocietyto enroll.Therefore,government-sponsored programsshould be viewedas programsforall, andnot forthepoor.
